Reception Admissions
We welcome applications from all families who support the Catholic ethos of our school. For 2025-2026 applications, we accepted children up to criteria 11 with those from criteria 13 ranked by distance.
Although a certificate of Catholic Practice is preferable, it is NOT essential to obtain a place in Nursery or Reception.

We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting several open mornings in St Adrian’s Catholic Primary School, over the coming months. If you are preparing for your child to come to start Nursery or Reception in September 2027, then please do book a tour, come along to visit our wonderful school and see it in action.
St Adrian's is a fantastic community with the children at the heart of all that we do. A visit to the school is warmly encouraged - Let all friends and families know and invite them along too.

Admissions 2027-2028
Applications for school places in Reception for September 2027 are for children born between 1/9/2022 and 31/8/2023. The deadline for applications has now passed.

How to apply for admission to the reception class for entry September 2027
Applications are open to apply online at: www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/admissions. In addition you will need to complete the Supplementary Information Form (SIF below) and provide a copy of your child’s baptism certificate. These documents can be handed to the school office.
As well as applying online, please complete the Supplementary Information Form (SIF) and submit to the school office.

9.00 – 9.20 – Register, Circle Time, RE and Prayer
9.20 – 10.00 – Maths
10.00 -11.15 – Learning Through Play and Snack
11.15 – 11.45 – Phonics
11.45-12.00 – Singing
12.00 – 12.50 – Prayer and Lunch Time
12.50 – 13.30 – Register, Story Time and Guided Reading
13.30 – 14.00 – Adult Led Activities eg. RE, PE
